Like a lot of high school students, Josiah Williams has been looking forward to being a senior and going to the prom. The teen from Wichita, Kansas, was even more excited about it after last year’s event was canceled. He wasn’t sure if prom was happening this year, but at the last minute, he found out it was.
Josiah’s mom, Keri Williams, says he gave her the good news by saying, “Guess what? I get to go to prom! And it’s tomorrow!” The only issue? He needed something to wear. So she turned to social media to ask for help and two community members stepped in to save the day.
Williams says she had an overwhelming response with offers to help and two men helped pay for her son’s suit for the dance, one was a complete stranger and one was an old friend of hers from high school. David Coyle says he “loved the opportunity to participate in him having a great night at prom.”
