An anonymous donor is giving back to a Florida animal shelter after some good fortune came her way. Halifax Humane Society Community Outreach Director Barry Kukes says the woman came by and paid off all the adoption fees for the dogs ready to be adopted out.
The mystery woman doesn’t want to be identified, but she told Kukes what led to her generosity. “Basically, she made a very wise investment in some cryptocurrency and had a windfall,” Kukes explains. “She said it changed her life and she wanted to do something nice.”
The woman put the donation to the Daytona Beach shelter under “Dogecoin” - a type of cryptocurrency. And it comes at the perfect time since they just took in 42 dogs from a suspected dog-fighting ring.
