Here is Tuesday's Life Court...
Scott and Sadie,
We had a garage sale on Saturday - we were just getting rid of some old stuff. My wife had some of her jewelry for sale.
At one time we must have had twenty people in our driveway. I noticed the elderly lady from around the block trying on one of my wife's necklaces. Another customer asked me about an item, so I turned away. I turned back to help our elderly neighbor, but she was gone.
And so was the necklace.
My wife got really angry - she wanted me to go to the woman's house and confront her over a necklace we were trying to sell for a rotten $20. I told her, NO, neither of us had actually witnessed her take the necklace, we didn't have any real "evidence," and it would be wrong to just allege.
She agreed - and then the old woman posted the necklace on Facebook marketplace. Now she is livid and wants to call the police.
I say just let it go - maybe the old gal is having trouble making ends meet.
