Here's THURSDAY'S Life Court...
Scott and Sadie,
We are in the process of switching my 2-year-old son's daycare. The old director at his current place was awesome but she decided to be a stay-at-home and left 2 months ago. Since then, the assistant director, who I think is scatterbrained to begin with, has stepped into the role, and, honestly, things have gone a little downhill. They have had some heavy staff turnover since the regime change which lead to this decision, but for ME, the final straw for wanting to pull my kid out of this daycare is that they lost his shirt.
Apparently, he spilled something on it and changed him into the spare shirt that he has just in case of matters like this. Then, instead of sending it home with him, they 'accidentally' sent it home with another kid. When I brought it up they said they would send an email to all the parents asking whoever got it to bring it back. That was over 2 weeks ago and they still haven't sent an email asking. I follow up when I pick him up and they always say they forgot but will do it, but still haven't. So, yesterday we did a tour of what will be his new daycare and made the decision to move him.
When his final day at his current daycare happens at the end of the month if they haven't emailed looking or gotten his shirt back, do I ask to be reimbursed to be able to replace it or just let it go? Or is that petty? What do your listeners think in Life Court?
