But their 8-year-old son LOVES the puppy, so he took matters into his own hands and set up a booth on the side of the road to sell all his Pokémon cards.
His mom posted a photo of it, and people donated over $1,900 on GoFundMe.
After a week of treatment, Bryson reunited with Bruce. Bruce is still undergoing treatment and continues to gain strength. The remaining money from the GoFundMe donations will help pay for the dog's future vaccinations and other sick dogs in the community.
