LEDs in the kid's room?! Advice is needed on Scott and Sadie's Life Court!

Here is Friday's Life Court...

Scott and Sadie,

We have a question for other parents on Life Court. We have a 14-year old son. About six months ago, he practically begged us to get these LED lights. They're on a ribbon and he has his room and his bathroom decorated with them.

They change colors - blink and flash - they almost put me into a seizure! They're on 24/7 and I just don't know what to think. I don't know how this doesn't interrupt his sleep patterns.

I'd just like to hear from other parents. Do your kids have these lights? Does it mess with their sleep? Or are these LED lights "lave lamps" for today's kids?
