Every weekday Shawn Patrick sheds some light on some good news with His Good Vibes Story. Here is today's...
A motorcycle-loving boy’s lemonade stand has become a popular pit stop for bikers heading to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Wyatt Dennis first opened his donations-only stand last summer to earn some money to buy a Lego set he wanted, and even though he doesn’t charge for the drinks, he did better than expected with donations and was able to earn enough for the toy and to donate $200 to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
After last year’s success, Wyatt says this year 50% of what he makes will be saved for college, 30% will be donated to St. Jude and he gets to spend the rest on a dirt bike. And so far, he’s raised enough to donate $45-hundred to St. Jude and the rally is going on next weekend, too! Business is booming once again, thanks in part to a Facebook post from someone who stopped to quench their thirst.
Derek Swain recommended others stop to support the eight-year-old who’s “giving away free lemonade and water to any and every one.” He encouraged other bikers to “Give him a huge thank you and show off your rides,” and to “Get out there and support a kid doing some good in this world.”
