Thanks to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, a woman in need has a new car to drive to work. She met deputies at a catered event where she was working and they learned that she didn’t have a vehicle and was taking an Uber to work every day, then walking home after her long shifts.
Deputies reached out to their Community Outreach Division partners and the kind folks at Stepp’s Towing were able to donate a vehicle. Before surprising the woman with the delivery, a local car wash volunteered to clean and detail the car for her. She was all smiles holding the keys to her new set of wheels!
“We’re thankful for the times we’re able to come together with our community partners and create something magical,” the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office writes in a Facebook post. “Thank you for helping us change this woman's life.”
