Every weekday Shawn Patrick sheds some light on some good news with His Good Vibes Story. Here is today's...

A Wisconsin mom who’s battling cancer is feeling much more comfortable these days, thanks to the kindness of a stranger. Eula Newcome has stage four colon cancer and her family recently moved to a new apartment in Madison that doesn’t have air conditioning. She couldn’t afford a new one, so they tried to live in the hot home, but the summer heat became unbearable.

Desperate for help, Eula turned to Facebook. She posted her story, hoping someone could lend them a hand and within just a few minutes, someone did. A woman she’d never met before, RhondaStokes, messaged Eula to say a brand-new AC unit was waiting for her at Home Depot.

Now the family is able to cool off and Eula says she feels lucky to be a part of such a supportive community. “You guys are awesome,” she says. “You guys came together when someone was in dire need and just made my life that much easier to fight for and I’ll continue to fight.”

  • A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Eula and her family.
