When it came to bringing the people of Southern Colorado things to do, few could touch the work of Tommy Giodone. Most affectionately knew him simply as Tommy G. The Colorado legend known for events such as Bands in the Backyard, passed away last week at 57.
Besides Bands in the Backyard, which was held in Vineland, CO, Tommy was also known for hosting motor sports events, rodeo events, other concerts, and was instrumental in bring the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) and their headquarters to Pueblo.
Others knew Giodone from his family's restaurant, Giodone’s Italian Bar and Grill, and his recent ventures in the cannabis industry.
His larger than life character left a lasting memory to all who crossed paths with him, including all of us at iHeartRadio in Southern Colorado. We, along with so many others will miss Tommy, and we pray for his friends and family.
