Walmart is hoping to end product shortages in its stores by increasing its truck drivers' starting salaries to $95,000.

Truckers could end up earning as much as $110,000 in their first year with the retailer.

That's a decent increase considering the median pay for big-rig drivers in the U.S. as of 2020 was barely over $47,000.

Walmart's also starting its own truck driving schools in Texas and Delaware and will pay for a driver's commercial driver's license, which can run anywhere from $3,000 to $4,000.
