The Forest Service Has a Plan For People Pooping at a Colorado Hot Springs

Conundrum Hot Springs is one of Colorado's gems near Aspen. But as more people have found out about it, more people have flocked to it. And with no bathrooms on the trail, people have been going and leaving their mess. So the Forest Service has a plan.

In 2016, rangers found 273 incidents of unburied human waste, and they packed out 438 pounds of trash.

So something needed to be done.

The plan now includes reservations and a $10 fee will be required starting in the summer... Bcause that will make people stop pooping on the trail, right?

May I suggest installing some toilets and placing some trashcans along the trail?
