I never buy anything from those TV infomercials because I always feel like I am going to get scammed. Still, my wife talked me into getting a Snuggie a few years back because they were buy one get one free, and she said we just had to. Turns out, I got scammed!
The company behind the Snuggie will issue $7.2 million in refunds to its customers this month, because the Federal Trade Commission found the company deceived people with its "buy one, get one free" campaign.
They did not disclose the extra charges and processing fees that came with the second Snuggie, which nearly doubled the price of the order to $38.95.
As a result, the company will soon be mailing out 218,254 checks averaging at $33.14 to their customers. Anyone who gets a refund has 60 days to cash it.
I've never been more excited for $30 in my life!!
