I have seen a story about huge signing bonuses to go work for the railroad in Colorado the last few days, and I honestly thought they had to be fake. Well, today I did some research and found out they are true.
Union Pacific is offering up to $25,000 in signing bonuses for certain positions while BNSF Railway is offering similar bonuses.
According to 9News;
"The Omaha, Nebraska-based company is looking for "train crew" (think conductors and engineers) to run freight throughout the Denver hub. Potential employees need to speak and understand English, be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license -- and be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week."
I love my radio job, but if I am not here next week, you can find me on the railroads!
