Someone Put a ‘No Vacancy’ Sticker on a Colorado Welcome Sign

I understand why people love our state. I could make a list of all the reasons why, but it would go on forever because there are so many great things about Colorado. That being said, I also understand why natives to our state are tired of so many people flocking here.

As a native myself, I must say the traffic on I-25 is enough for me to say a big ol' "AMEN" to what someone did to one of the "Welcome to Colorado" signs.

The big brown welcome sign off of southbound Interstate 25 south of Cheyenne got some new verbiage over the weekend. Someone added a sticker, which looks like it was drawn with magic markers, that reads “No Vacancy.”

Sadly, a CDOT crew was responsible for peeling off the homemade sticker at the Wyoming border. It was removed on Monday afternoon.
