I already respect the heck out of our police officers, and don't envy most of what they have to do to keep us safe, but what some officers in Pueblo recently dealt with is enough to make your arm hair stand up.
The department's communication center received, at 3:30 a.m., a 911 hang-up call that originated from a local funeral home.
Per protocol, a dispatcher called the number back. The call was picked up but the dispatcher's attempts to initiate a conversation were met only with silence.
So some lucky officers got to go to the funeral home in the middle of the night to investigate. They found nothing out of the ordinary.
I would have turned my badge in before going into that place that night...
