History Says a Hot September Equals a Snowy October in Colorado

Most of Colorado, from Fort Collins down I25 to Pueblo, has seen temperatures in the 90s for over a week straight now. If history has anything to do with it, that could mean snow is coming soon, though!

According to 9News;

The last time Denver experienced nine days at or above 90 degrees during the month of September was in 2005 -- and also in 1895.

After the September 2005 hot streak, that October saw a lot of snow … in fact, 9.6 inches of snow for the month, when the average is typically just four inches.
