Someone in Greeley Called the Cops Because of Strawberry Syrup

Once a week or so, my hometown newspaper, the Greeley Tribune, puts together what they call their Cop Log. Basically they compile the weirdest stuff that the cops encounter over the last month or so in Greeley and Evans, and print it for the world to see. Today, it's the story of the person who called police after finding strawberry syrup all over a sink...

Oct. 4th, 4:30 a.m.: Police responded to a country club in the 4500 block of 10th Street for a report of a knife in what looked like a blood-spattered sink in the kitchen. The red substance was strawberry syrup.

I must admit that at 4:30 in the morning, if I saw something like this, I probably would have called the cops too!
