The last time the Denver Broncos had a local college quarterback on their roster, he turned a lot of heads. Sadly, Kyle Sloter from UNC in Greeley ended up in Minnesota, but now we have another local kid!
With the release of Chad Kelly either this week, the team needed another QB, and signed former Colorado State quarterback Garrett Grayson to their practice squad.
Grayson threw for 55 touchdowns against just 18 interceptions in his final two seasons for the CSU Rams in 2013-14. He was a third-round draft pick of the New Orleans Saints in 2015 but after two years of sitting behind Drew Brees, Grayson was cut prior to the 2017 season.
