Carrie Underwood's Husband Mike Fisher Bought Her Cows For Christmas

Christmas might not be until December 25, but Carrie Underwood's husband, Mike Fisher, already has his wife's gift taken care of.

The former NHL player turned to his Instagram Story this week to reveal to fans that he was attending a cattle auction to buy two cows as a gift for Underwood. "Cattle auction time! Big hat. No cattle...yet," Fisher wrote alongside a photo of himself at the auction wearing a cowboy hat and sunglasses.

Shortly after, Fisher shared another post on his Story, showing off his new big purchase. "@carrieunderwood wanted cows for Christmas," he captioned the post. "Merry Christmas Babe!" The cows join the family's growing farm just outside of Nashville which also currently has three dogs, two horses and multiple chickens.

Underwood, who grew up on a cattle farm, has spent most of her time off the road this year at home with her husband and two sons, Isaiah and Jacob. "We’ve been getting outdoors a lot, which has been great," Underwood previously told Today Parents. "I feel like I haven’t been in one place this long in the past 15 years at least, so the silver lining is that we’ve had a lot of family time."

"We have chickens and they’ll [Isaiah and Jacob will] go down and help us feed the chickens and collect the eggs," she added. "We’ll go down and feed our horses and go fishing."

Underwood's big gift from Fisher arrived on the same day that her Christmas special, My Gift: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood, premiered on HBO Max. The one-hour event features the country star performing traditional Christmas classics, along with some new tracks from her new Christmas album, My Gift.

The special also gives viewers a behind the scenes look at Underwood recording "Little Drummer Boy" with her son Isaiah. Additionally, the show will also include an appearance by John Legend, who will join the country star to sing their duet "Hallelujah."

"I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Playtone and HBO Max to bring My Gift to life," Underwood said in a previous statement. "Just like the album, I hope this special will help bring some much-needed joy and become part of the soundtrack to people’s holiday festivities this year as it streams throughout the season and beyond."
